Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RupiGo handles, why we use it, when it may be shared and the choices available to you.

Effective date: July 28, 2026

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide when using RupiGo, including your name, mobile number, email address, EMI calculation inputs, repayment reminder preferences and communications with customer support.

With your permission, the Android app may also collect approximate location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers and financial, transaction, bill or repayment information identified from SMS. We also receive technical information such as network status, app interactions, diagnostics, installation source and fraud-prevention signals.

How we use information

We use information to provide EMI calculations, repayment schedules and reminders, maintain user preferences, provide customer support, protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and improve the reliability of RupiGo.

Device and advertising identifiers, including installation-referrer information, may be used for analytics, campaign attribution and advertising measurement. We do not use SMS permission to send messages from your device.

Permissions and your choices

RupiGo may request approximate location for service availability and security, and SMS access to identify relevant financial, transaction, bill-due and repayment-reminder information. RupiGo does not collect unrelated personal messages or use SMS permission to send messages.

Android shows a permission request before protected information is accessed. You can decline or later revoke a permission in Android Settings. A feature that depends on that permission may then be unavailable.

How information is shared

Information may be shared with service providers that support hosting, analytics, attribution, communications, customer support, security and fraud prevention. It may also be disclosed to professional advisers, regulators or public authorities when required by applicable law.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for agreed purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information for money.

Security and retention

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain information only for as long as needed to provide EMI calculation and reminder features, resolve support requests or disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized. Backup copies may remain for up to 90 days.

Children

RupiGo is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer the service to or collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your rights and contact

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
